November 24, 2013 - Eagles on Lake Owasso

This is an adult eagle with a young eagle on frozen Lake Owasso in Little Canada, Minnesota.  I thought about cropping the shot down so that it is easier to make out the eagles, but since it was taken near sunset, I think that the background adds to the composition.

September 11, 2013 - Lake Gervais

This is a bay on the southeast side of Lake Gervais in Little Canada, Minnesota.  I was curious as to how well this would turn out since it is a three-shot HDR and the wind was blowing the grass back and forth.  I thought there may be shadows when the three shots were merged, but the software (Photomatix) corrected it nicely.
