Unfortunately we had to attend a funeral on Wednesday at Lysne Lutheran Church, outside of Hawley, MN. After the service I walked through the church cemetery with my brother-in-law and came across this grave where a Christmas tree and two beer cans had been placed. As you can see, Cameron Schlafmann was only 21 years young! Through Google searches I found his obituary and learned a little about his life. One of his passions was the Boy Scouts and he was an Eagle Scout. He camped at Camp Wilderness - the same camp I frequented as a Boy Scout. He sounded like a great kid and it makes me sad that he was taken from his family and friends at such a young age. There was no indication as to the cause of his death.
