February 28, 2013 - Ice Cream

We were sitting on a second-floor balcony having a drink in St. Augustine, FL, when I noticed this lady down below having ice cream with her children.  As I was about to shoot a photo of the kids with their cones, I noticed that she was taking a photo of her cone with her phone.  I snapped this shot catching her with her shadow on the wall behind her.

February 25, 2013 - Fabric Store

Passing through Paducah, KY, my wife, who is a quilter, had to stop at the Hancock of Paducah store.  This is a huge store that is a quilter's dream.  The photo shows only one wing of the store!

February 24, 2013 - Opportunity

Here is a great opportunity:  a very colorful old bank building going on the auction block next Saturday.  It is located in Paducah, Kentucky, in the historical downtown area of the town.  We visited here today only to find that everything was closed on Sunday!

Today I drove to Como Park, St. Paul, Minnesota, for my photo.  This is the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, a landmark at the park and probably the most-used location in the state for wedding photos throughout the year.

February 19, 2013 - Charlie's

We stopped briefly in Freeport, Minnesota, today so I could get my shot for the day.  If you have traveled on I94 in central Minnesota, you've seen the signs for Charlie's.  It is a landmark in the town of Freeport!

February 18, 2013 - Cooold

We came up to Moorhead, Minnesota, for a couple of days, just in time for a blizzard.  The snowfall was light, but the winds are gusting up to 40 mph, making visibility very poor.  Tonight the windchill is predicted to get down to -35F!
