We're at our cottage on Lake Superior, close to the town of Two Harbors, Minnesota. At breakfast we learned that it is Winter Frolic Days in Two Harbors, with various events scheduled throughout the day. Above is a photo of the mascot race (Santa won!). In addition we saw the smoosh race, the outhouse race, the sledding hill, sleigh rides and vintage snowmobiles. Tomorrow a storm is coming with up to 10 inches of snow, so I'm glad they could get this all in today!

I saw some photos earlier this week of surfers in Lake Superior. They had icicles hanging from their beards. Maybe you can catch one of those?
